We arrived at the ferry terminal in time to grab a spot of lunch, including ketchup potato chips, which I don't recommend. Getting onto Prince Edward Island is easy; whether you go over the bridge or on the ferry, it is free. It costs dearly , however, to leave PEI, $48 to drive the Confederation Bridge. Our ferry ride was heavenly. I love ferries. The day was warm with aquamarine skies filled with puffy clouds. The 14mile trip took over an hour so it wasn't exactly a speed race. Toward the end of the trip, we discovered the upper deck. A lighthouse viewing at both the start and the terminus made me even happier.
